What I need to write sizzling copy for you and your business

By following these steps, you'll give me what I need to be able to assist you and your business. Read these guidelines carefully and get back to me as soon as you have the necessary information and/or if you have questions. You will need to send me this completed questionnaire along with any additional materials you want me to review.

Step 1: Determine what you need written

I need to know what you want created. Here are some options.

Step 2: Set the objective

Once you've told me what kinds of marketing communications you want me to create for you, tell me what you want these communications to achieve. Every marketing communication has an objective. Usually it's either to

Step 5: What are the key features of what you want to sell? (A feature is a descriptive element, like size, weight, speed, color; in other words, specific details about what you're selling.)

 

Step 6: What are the key benefits of what you want to sell? (Try to put them in order of significance to your buyers/customers.)

**Important note: benefits are crucial to writing convincing marketing copy. Benefits are what people GET from using what you're selling. The more specific and believable the benefits, the faster your prospects and customers will respond!

 

Step 7: Any other good reasons (the more specific the better) why people should buy what you're selling and not similar things from other companies?

 

Step 8: We need an offer (or offers) to stimulate fastest response.

You've probably heard the old expression "Sell the sizzle, not the steak." An offer is the sizzle; it's the reason that gets the prospect to respond NOW!

What kind of offer can you make to motivate this fast response?
Here are some popular offers:

  • more of the product if you order now
  • free shipping
  • free report

Remember, offers get prospects to move FASTER!

 

Step 9: How about some testimonials?

Testimonials are a powerful form of marketing. They let people know that other people have derived real benefits from whatever you're selling. To be effective testimonials need to be as specific as possible and to be attributed, with the names of real people.

 

Step 10: Anything else you want featured in your copy?

Could be something like a company motto, etc. Or important information about the company, its employees, etc.
